The Slovenian leaves by mutual consent, having accepted that his future lies away from the King Power Stadium.
The 21-year-old joined the Foxes on a free transfer in August 2010 but has failed to make an impact in England.
He moves on without making a single first-team appearance.
A statement released on Leicester's official website read: "He leaves City with our best wishes and as a free agent, allowing him to find a new club outside of the transfer window."
