Ivorian happy on Merseyside

Tranmere defender Zoumana Bakayogo has extended his stay with the club until the end of the season. Bakayogo joined Rovers in September and the left-back has impressed manager Les Parry with some solid performances. The 23-year-old initially signed a deal that would keep him at Prenton Park until January, but the Ivorian has agreed to extend his contract till the end of the season. He told the club's official website: "I'm very happy to have signed. I really like this club and the players and I'm happy here. "I enjoy every day on the training ground and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season." Bakayogo had been linked with a switch to a number of clubs once his previous contract expired and Rovers boss Parry was delighted to secure the defender's services for the remainder of the season. "I'm really pleased Zoom has agreed to stay with us," said Parry. "He has done very well for us at left back over the past couple of months."
