Foxes go five clear, Leeds lose, Akinfenwa denies Terriers

Leicester extended their lead at the top of League One, while Leeds suffered their first defeat under Simon Grayson. Nigel Pearson's Leicester moved five points clear at the summit with a 3-0 victory over struggling Leyton Orient at the Walkers Stadium. Matt Oakley gave Leicester a dream start with the opener after just nine minutes and loan star Mark Davies doubled the lead on 37 minutes. Leicester made the game safe six minutes from time when veteran striker Paul Dickov scored from the penalty spot after Tamika Mkandawire fouled Davies. Carlisle ended their away day woes and inflicted the first defeat on Grayson as Leeds boss with a 2-0 win at Elland Road. Danny Graham put speculation over his future behind him to fire Carlisle in front after 26 minutes. Former Leeds star Michael Bridges came back to haunt his old club with the second on 35 minutes. Adebayo Akinfenwa's last-gasp goal earned 10-man Northampton a 1-1 draw with Huddersfield at Sixfields. Phil Jevons' first goal of the season on 65 minutes gave Lee Clark's side the lead and things got worse for Northampton 15 minutes from time when Jason Crowe was sent off for a professional foul on Gary Roberts. Northampton refused to give up and grabbed a late leveller from Akinfenwa in stoppage time.
