Nigel Pearson has expressed his delight after signing Jack Hobbs on loan from Liverpool.
Leicester struck a deal with the Reds on Friday to take Hobbs to the Walkers Stadium for the whole of the forthcoming season.
The versatile defender, who is tipped for a bright future at Anfield, played for 74 minutes in Leicester's 3-1 win at Kettering.
Pearson expects Hobbs to enjoy a successful season with the Foxes, while he has also applauded his club's loan policy.
The manager believes Leicester is an ideal place for up-and-coming players to make a name for themselves.
"Jack Hobbs is a good player and adds strength to our squad," said Pearson.
"I'm pleased to have him on board. He's another player who is looking to build a career and this is a good opportunity for him.
"Any club that loans a player out must feel that he's going to the right club where he will get an opportunity to play and gain that right level of experience and I feel that we can offer that to players here."
