Rotherham United have completed the capture of Chris O'Grady from Leicester.
The Millers agreed a £65,000 deal for the 20-year-old striker, who has penned a two-and-a-half year deal at Millmoor.
"In an ideal world Chris is the type of younger player that you want to keep, but everyone is aware of the financial position we are in and unfortunately we are not able to do that," said City boss Rob Kelly.
"Chris is nearly 21 now and wants to play first team football. We've got good young strikers here and this deal has allowed us to bring in a sum of money and also a sell on for Chris.
"It may free up some funds to allow me to bring in a loan player. In the end it was a decent deal for the club and the player.
"Chris is a smashing lad who wants to work, wants to train and get better. We wish him all the best."
