Leicester City manager Rob Kelly has offered fresh terms to team captain Danny Tiatto.
The former Australian international is out of contract at the end of the month at The Walkers Stadium, but Kelly hopes to bring the former Manchester City player back next season.
"We have made an offer to Danny and we are currently waiting on a response," Kelly told the club's official website.
"He is away in Australia at the moment, but we hope to hear from him soon.
"Danny stated before he left at the end of the season that he wanted to stay in this country - preferably with ourselves."
One player back on the books at Leicester is Dutch striker Mark de Vries after loan club Heerenveen opted against signing the former Hearts hit-man on a permanent deal.
