Leicester City boss Rob Kelly has expressed his delight at James Wesoloski's decision to sign a 12-month contract extension.
The 18-year-old had over a year remaining on his existing deal, however the club were keen to secure his long-term services.
Wesoloski's season has been curtailed by injury, but Kelly has praised the youngster's attitude to get himself fit and back on the pitch.
"We are delighted that James has agreed to extend his contract by a further year," Kelly told the club's official website.
"He is a young player with a great attitude and has done very well to battle back from two broken legs. He is fully aware that he has still got a lot of work to do.
"We look forward to him playing a part next season, although we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that he is still only a teenager."
