Matthew Heath is hoping his return to Leicester will afford him the chance to prove he is capable of playing in The Premiership.

Foxes chief Micky Adams recalled Heath from his loan spell at Stockport after an injury crisis enveloped his squad over the festive period.

Heath was thrown into the white hot atmosphere of The Premiership against Bolton and the defender felt he acquitted himself well at The Reebok Stadium.

The 22-year-old is not sure what the future holds but he is looking to prove himself to Adams.

"As far as I know I am a Leicester player again now," said Heath. "I have been recalled from Stockport and I no longer have any connections there.

"I have just got to train hard and if I get more chances to play games I will make sure I give my all."
