BRISTOL CITY boss Danny Wilson has made another approach to Leicester City over the possibility of Richard Cresswell joining the Robins on-loan until the end of the season.

Wilson, who worked with Cresswell at Sheffield Wednesday, was keen to sign the 23-year-old upon first arriving at Ashton Gate and it has now emerged that the former Barnsley boss has continued to monitor the striker's progress since he joined The Foxes in September 2000.

City chairman John Laycock confirmed that The Robins are currently looking to add to their squad, saying: "Danny has one or two players in mind.

"We are aware that injuries can take a toll at this stage of the season and want the cover to be there if necessary."

A former England Under-21 international, Cresswell has been subject to limited opportunities throughout his time at Filbert Street and is now understood to be looking for regular first-team football.

Earlier in February, Leicester boss Peter Taylor confirmed that he had received an approach from Nottingham Forest enquiring abouut taking the forward to The City Ground on a one-month loan deal, although it now appears that this deal has gone cold.

As he continues to search for an opportunity to demonstrate his ability, Cresswell may now be sorely tempted to renew acquaintances with Wilson at Ashton Gate.
