QPR have received mixed news on the injury front with Charlie Austin not seriously injured but Richard Dunne facing three months out.
Austin, Dunne and Nedum Onuoha were all hurt in the agonising 1-0 defeat at home to Southampton on Saturday, with the first two named leaving Loftus Road on crutches.
There were suggestions Austin and Dunne could be out for the season, but the striker was revealed to have only suffered a bruised foot.
He will miss Tuesday's clash with Sunderland but should return for their next Premier League game against Hull City on February 21.
A tweet from QPR's official feed said: "@chazaustin9 has suffered bruising to his right foot and will miss Tuesday's trip to @SunderlandAFC. Nothing too serious #QPR."
Austin later confirmed the good news, posting: "Scan done. Delighted to say I've NOT broken a bone in my foot! Hopefully back in a week or two!"
But it was bad news for Dunne, who has been diagnosed with a medial ligament injury that leaves him facing a race to be fit to play again this season.
Team-mate Joey Barton said on Twitter: "Gutted for Dunney. He's been excellent this season. Big loss for us. Opportunity for somebody to stake their claim..."
Onuoha's hamstring problem will sideline him for up to a month, leaving caretaker-bosses Chris Ramsey and Kevin Bond with two defensive holes to fill.
