QPR boss Harry Redknapp hopes his side have gained a crucial advantage over their play-off opponents.
Rangers are guaranteed a fourth-placed finish, meaning the second leg of their semi-final will be at home.
As things stand the Hoops will face Reading, although they are only ahead of Wigan on goal difference while Brighton could also snatch fifth spot on the final day.
"Finishing in fourth was important for us and we'll give it a right go," said Redknapp.
"I wanted that second leg at home because I know how important our fans can be.
"Whether it's Wigan or Reading, I think it was vitally important we got the second leg at home and we've done that, so we're all looking forward to what lies ahead."
