Alejandro Faurlin is determined to be patient as he closes in on a QPR comeback after six months out injured.

Faurlin is eyeing a first-team place after coming through two reserve matches unscathed.

The 25-year-old has yet to play under Hoops boss Mark Hughes after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligaments in an FA Cup clash with MK Dons in January - Neil Warnock's final game in charge.

"I'm in the final weeks of a comeback now. I need to keep focused. I know I'm nearly there"

But the Argentine midfielder hopes the wait will soon be over and claims he is on the brink of a Premier League return.

"I am progressing, although I understand I have to be patient, not get frustrated and just keep working hard," he said, quoted in the Daily Star.
