New boy looking forward to the opening game of season

New QPR signing Junior Hoilett says he is eager to show the fans what he can do as the first game of the new season draws closer. Hoilett signed a four-year-deal with the Premier League club last month after seeing out his Blackburn contract. QPR will tackle Swansea at Loftus Road on the opening day on Saturday 18th August, and it is a game that Hoilett cannot wait for. He told the club's official website: "Everyone is looking forward to that first game and I am probably looking forward to it more than normal because I am at a new club and this is a new start for me. "It will be great to get out in front of the fans and show them what I can do. It's an important game for me and the club." Hoilett made his debut for Mark Hughes' side on Saturday, playing the first half in QPR's 1-1 draw against Trabzonspor in Germany. The Rs maintained their unbeaten record in pre-season with the draw and Hoilett was more than pleased to get a run-out. "It was good to get 45 minutes under the belt. I haven't played in a while so it was good to have a run-out and play with the team because you get to understand how the others play." he said. "Obviously I have been training with the guys but you can learn much more by playing with them in a competitive fixture like that one."
