Rs boss not dwelling on dropped points

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes is not dwelling on what might have been ahead of their weekend trip to Blackburn. QPR have been their own worst enemy at times since the turn of the year, throwing away points on home soil against Norwich and Wolves. The Rs had been leading both games before the dismissals of Joey Barton and Djibril Cisse saw the west Londoners emerge with no points to show for their efforts. The promoted club are still one point clear of the drop zone and Hughes wants his players to focus on the games ahead, starting with Saturday's match against his former club at Ewood Park.

Positive

"There have been mitigating circumstances [in throwing away leads]," commented Hughes. "There have been two games where we have been in control and unfortunately a guy has been sent off and that has affected the outcome. "Obviously Joey got sent off against Norwich and Djibril last week so in both of those situations we were comfortable and lost six points. "We could have been sat here and been a lot better off. We can look back on it and [cry over] spilt milk somewhat, but you can't do anything about it. "It is important we are really positive about every game we have from now until the end of the year. There is an understanding with the guys that if we lose players to indiscipline it is going to hurt us all. "We have got to keep every player on the pitch if we can, that goes without saying. We are a good side and create things if we have got everybody on the pitch."
