Neil Warnock has urged Shaun Wright-Phillips to put thoughts of an England recall to one side in order to focus on his Queens Park Rangers career.
Wright-Phillips joined QPR from Manchester City before the close of the transfer window and enjoyed an impressive debut in Monday night's 0-0 draw with Newcastle United.
His promising start to life at Loftus Road has sparked talk of a return to the international fold for Wright-Phillips, who has not played for England since the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro almost 12 months ago.
However, QPR boss Warnock feels that the 29-year-old may have to wait until England coach Fabio Capello leaves next summer before he is back in the national team reckoning.

"I think Shaun's got to play football," Warnock told
Sky Sports News. "I think Shaun should just concentrate on QPR this year and wait until the manager's gone for England and start afresh.
"I think everybody will be given a clean bill of health when Capello leaves.
"Before then he needs to maintain his form and fitness. It's great to say he had a great game the other night, but he's got to do that on a regular basis.
"He'd love to (play at Euro 2012), but as I've said to him, don't go looking for that, just concentrate on enjoying your game and people will look at you.
"You can't stop but look at him when he's in full flight because he's wonderful to see.
"He's told me he'd love to make the England squad, that's his ambition."
Wright-Phillips was one of several fresh faces to arrive at Loftus Road before the transfer deadline and Warnock is also happy with the captures of Luke Young, Anton Ferdinand and Armand Traore.
He added: "I don't see a better right-back than Luke Young in the England squad but I'm biased probably.
"I think Ferdinand has got every attribute if he can listen and doesn't know it all, and listens to one or two things about the defensive side of the game.
"I don't see many better left-backs than Traore if he learns one or two defensive situations. They're all promising players to deal with."
