Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock has up to 12 transfer targets but accepts that he will only be able to sign less than half of them.
Following Tony Fernandes' takeover, Warnock has been given the green light to pursue targets and has confirmed his interest in West Ham's Scott Parker.
Manchester City's out-of-favour winger Shaun Wright-Phillips is also a
reported target, but Warnock admits he has no shortage of options ahead of the summer transfer deadline.
"We have already talked about targets; we want four or five players in and we have probably 10 or 12 people to choose from to try to get in," he said.
"In 10 days I've got to do 12 weeks' work to bring in these players we do need."
Warnock guided the side to an excellent 1-0 win at Everton on Saturday, with Tommy Smith netting the only goal at Goodison Park, which went some way towards making amends for their 4-0 opening day drubbing by Bolton.
Winger Smith took one touch to get Akos Buzsaky's pass out from under his feet and with his second calmly bent the ball past Tim Howard and into the far corner of the net.
"I was just delighted to see it go in to be honest," said Smith. "We knew the first goal would be vital. I think confidence was knocked by the Bolton result so it was important to put that to bed.
"Once we scored we played like a very good side. It was a great team performance."
