Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock is hoping to bring in up to four more new signings before the start of the new season.
Warnock has already been active since the end of the last campaign and has added Paddy Kenny, Leon Clarke and Jamie Mackie to his Loftus Road squad.
He remains in the market for fresh faces and has expressed his frustration at trying to conclude a deal for Crystal Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose.
The QPR chief has confirmed he has made plenty of enquiries and is optimistic of having more signings in place before the opening game of the season against Barnsley on 7th August.
"I've made enquiries about a lot of players," Warnock told the club's official website. "I'd like to get at least another couple in, maybe even three or four before the start of the season.
"We need to balance the books as well, though. There'll be players who leave and players who sign - that's the nature of the business we're in.
"I think we need a squad of 25, but if we can get a squad of 22 without loaning players we'll be in good shape."
