Luton Town boss Mike Newell is chasing Wycombe Wanderers defender Danny Senda, for the club's next assault on The Championship.

The 25-year-old full back was a regular at The Causeway in League Two last season, but is out of contract at the club.

The Chairboys rejected a bid from The Hatters earlier in the year, but Newell is now free to pursue the Bosman transfer target.

"Danny is a player we have been looking at for a long time. He is out of contract, and we will see what happens," the boss confessed.

"We have a list of players who we want to bring to the club. Some will be within our financial reach, but some will not."

The former England Under-17 international played in all 46 league games for Wanderers last season, and Queens Park Rangers are also believed to have taken an interest in the stalwart.
