QPR eyeing Dons striker

QPR are thought to be monitoring Milton Keynes Dons striker Izale McLeod.

Queens Park Rangers are thought to be monitoring the progress of Milton Keynes Dons striker Izale McLeod.

The 19-year-old has been a bright light for the struggling League One outfit this term, with seven goals in the club's first 11 matches.

The hit-man was the hero on Saturday, as his late leveller gave MK Dons a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

QPR boss Ian Holloway is thought to an admirer of McLeod and reportedly missed out on claiming the teenager's services from Championship rivals Derby County in the summer.

McLeod, who had a loan spell with Sheffield United last season, opted for a move to Stuart Murdoch's MK Dons in order to get regular first team football, despite dropping a division to do so.

It remains to be seen if QPR firm up their interest in McLeod, who is proving to be a crucial player for his current club.
