TROUBLED Queens Park Rangers defender Clarke Carlisle has suffered another injury setback whilst making his comeback playing for the reserves.

Carlisle was returning after almost a year out with a cruciate knee ligament injury, but he injured the same knee during the game against Bristol Rovers.

He now faces another month on the sidelines as he again tries to battle back from injury, after falling awkwardly.

"It isn't a serious injury - he just fell awkwardly on it and we took him off as a precaution," said Rangers physio Prav Mathema.

"He had a scan but it was clear. Now he has to rest it and let the swelling go down, but it won't be long before he's back."
