Winning feeling eluding Pressley

Steven Pressley warned his team they must start winning games when they dominate, following a 1-1 home draw with Fleetwood.

The Scot was pleased with his team's efforts but could not hide his frustration at more dropped points at the Ricoh Arena. Coventry looked destined for defeat when Andy Webster headed into his own net in the first half, but rescued a deserved point when Canada international Simeon Jackson scrambled in an equaliser with nine minutes to go. Pressley said: "I am frustrated in respect of the scoreline because I don't think it reflected our dominance. "We made a tactical adjustment after 30 minutes to get a bigger press on the game and in the second half it was one-way traffic. "You have to give credit to Fleetwood. They made things very difficult. "They made creating opportunities very difficult, but some of our intricate play was excellent and I was really pleased with the way we kept patience with all the things we've worked towards all week. "The attitude was terrific and the pitch helped us too (it was re-laid before the game) because it meant we could continue to play our passing game and, in the end, we got the much-deserved goal. "But I think these are games we have to win here. We should have won it and as I've said to the boys in the dressing room we have to win these types of games if we want to fulfil our aspirations." Fleetwood manager Graham Alexander was equally frustrated with his side's failure to turn their first-half chances into more goals. The Coventry-born manager said his side's narrow lead at half-time left them vulnerable in the second period. He said: "Over the course of the 90 minutes, a point is fair but with the chances we created, we could have been two or three-up at half-time. "We were superb in the first half and maybe just needed another one to give us that cushion because we knew there was going to be pressure in the second half. "That was the case and, unfortunately, we lost concentration on the goal and it has cost us a couple of points. "At the moment, a lot of our general play is excellent and the discipline is excellent, we just need to score more goals - especially when we are on top. "They put us under pressure but I can't remember too many clear-cut chances - we didn't have too many either - but we defended really well. "It feels like a loss in many ways - that's certainly what you would think if you saw the players in the dressing room."
