Fuming Pressley to wield axe

Image: Steven Pressley: Coventry display was unacceptable

Furious Coventry boss Steven Pressley believes certain players are in a comfort zone and will be 'banished' and 'shipped out'.

The Scot watched his side embarrassed at home by Conference North side Worcester City on Sunday afternoon and revealed a post-match incident made him convinced that certain squad members are on their way out. "The truth is certain players will be shipped out of the football club," he said. "There is no doubt about it and that is how strong I feel about it. "An incident occurred after the game that I'll not go into but it told me everything that I need to know about certain players. They'll be gone and they'll be banished. Certain players are letting this club down. "At this moment in time I feel so strongly about this because I think we've got players in this club that it doesn't mean enough to. "Make no mistake I will not stand for that sort of performance at the weekend. Certain players are in a comfort zone and they'll be gone from the football club. We went down with a whimper, they wanted it more. I'll not accept that and I'll make sure these players understand that." The Sky Blues are back in action on Wednesday night when they host Plymouth in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
