Cotterill: We've won nothing yet

Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill was delighted with his side's 3-1 victory at Coventry.

Goals from Marlon Pack, Kieran Agard and Scott Wagstaff secured a hard-fought three points for the Robins after Shaun Miller's goal for Coventry had threatened to haul the home side back in it. City are the only unbeaten club in the league this season, but Cotterill was quick to dismiss the statistics. "We're pleased with our performance and our goals," Cotterill said. "We did relax a little when we went 2-0 up and their goal gave us a shake. "But - I'm not giving myself a pat on the back - the substitutes helped us, they gave us a little bit more energy to get the points. "It was almost like they weren't hurting us, then suddenly they get the goal and it's a different game. "But I'm really pleased with our response, our goals were excellent. It's a fantastic win against a really good side. "We are unbeaten but we haven't won anything yet - it doesn't matter. I'm sure the press will make more of it than we do!" The Robins took the lead after 11 minutes when Pack capitalised on some defensive uncertainty and fired in his first goal for the club - a powerful effort from 25-yards into the bottom corner. In first-half injury time, Agard netted the second after a long ball had not been cleared and his deft touch past onrushing goalkeeper Ryan Allsop found the far corner. The Sky Blues were back in the game with 15 minutes to go when two substitutes combined - James Maddison's incisive through ball found Miller, who blasted the ball in from 10 yards. But the visitors' own substitute Wagstaff secured the win with a well-taken goal in the 90th minute. The defeat condemned Coventry to their sixth league game without a win and manager Steven Pressley has branded it his toughest period as a manager. "I think my frustration is that over the course of the 90 minutes there is not a great deal between the sides," Pressley said. "I let the players do the talking at the end. "I've been craving that, and every Monday morning it comes from me, every week and winning teams are driven by players. "It's the first time in my 20 months and I'm really pleased with that. "As a manager I'm not going to hide, I'm truly determined to turn this around. "This is the biggest test of my managerial career, and the most disappointing period I have managed. "But I have total belief in what we are doing here." Breaking news, transfer gossip, line ups and goal alerts from your football club - delivered direct to your mobile. Sign up for Sky Sports Alerts
