Swanson waits on diagnosis

Coventry's Danny Swanson will discover on Thursday if he needs an operation on his right knee.

The midfielder damaged medial ligaments in Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Preston and is out for at least three weeks. He is on crutches and could be sidelined for two months if he needs to go under the knife. "It certainly looks like he's going to be missing for a number of weeks and goes to see a specialist on Thursday," boss Steven Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph. "How many we don't know yet but we should find out on Thursday. It certainly looks like three weeks or more but we have to wait to hear what the specialist says in terms of how he wants to go about it and what his rehabilitation will be. "He'll decide whether he requires some sort of surgery or rehabilitation with rest. Fingers crossed it will be the latter rather than anything invasive, but if it's surgery then it could be more like six to eight weeks."
