Coventry have announced the appointment of Carl McNally as their new head of academy recruitment.

Birmingham-born McNally will be in charge of overseeing the development of players from the Under-9s up to the Under-18s level. "I've worked for the club for over four years part-time and seen a lot of talented youngsters progress into the first-team," McNally told the club's official website. "It is a great role and I'm delighted to join Coventry City's successful academy in a role where I can contribute to the long-term success of the club." Academy manager Richard Stevens added: "The head of recruitment role is something every academy thrives on. I think Carl's appointment will bring structure and stability to our academy set-up."
