Sky Blues monitoring Fleck

Coventry will monitor midfielder John Fleck this week following his nasty head injury in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Swindon.

The Scot was released from hospital on Saturday evening following scans and subsequently travelled home with his team-mates. Fleck was forced off midway through the second half having been knocked unconscious, falling heavily following a challenge from Nathan Thompson. The 21-year-old required lengthy treatment on the pitch before being stretchered off and taken to hospital, where he was later passed fit to return to the midlands. Speaking after the draw at the County Ground, Sky Blues manager Mark Robins said: "He took a blow to the skull and his ear was bleeding so he has been taken straight to hospital." Defender Richard Wood, already playing with a broken nose, will also be assessed by City's medical team over the coming days having suffered a second break against the Robins.
