Shaw: Sky Blues were nervous

Coventry caretaker manager Richard Shaw was far from pleased with his side's display despite victory over Burton in the JPT.

The dramatic 10-9 shootout followed a dull 0-0 draw and it was Sky Blues goalkeeper Joe Murphy who emerged as the hero, saving two penalties before scoring the decisive kick. Shaw was happy to progress but was more concerned with his team's performance within 90 minutes. He said: "It was incredible. I felt with the chances we deserved to win in 90 minutes but there was a real nervousness about our play in the first half. "That disappointed me more than anything, the lack of bravery on the ball, not going forward. We were too pedestrian on the ball. "We've got a lot of work to do. When there is a smaller crowd and less atmosphere you need to create your own atmosphere and we didn't do that."
