Midfielder takes in trial game with Forest

Franck Moussa has been offered an opportunity to impress by Nottingham Forest following his release by Leicester City. The Belgian midfielder was named in the Reds' starting XI for a behind-closed-doors friendly against Mansfield Town on Saturday. The 22-year-old is currently without a club after seeing a two-year stint at Leicester brought to a close. Moussa earned a move to the Foxes after impressing at Southend United and has also caught the eye during loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers, Doncaster Rovers and Chesterfield. He may have struggled to make the desired impact at the King Power Stadium, but Forest could be about to offer him a second chance in the East Midlands. Reds boss Sean O'Driscoll is busily assembling a squad he hopes can push for promotion in 2012/13. Competition for places is vital at any ambitious club and Moussa could be drafted in as a free agent to provide cover.
