Bristol City defender wanted in Championship and League One

Sky Sports understands several clubs are considering a move to sign Bristol City defender James Wilson this summer. Wilson has been unable to make a sustained impact since Derek McInnes took charge at Ashton Gate and he was linked with a move away from the club in January. Though he only signed a new three-year contract last October, Wilson was restricted to just 21 appearances in the Championship last term. With Robins boss McInnes in the market for defensive additions, Wilson could be on the move during the transfer window. Championship rivals Derby County are thought to be keeping tabs on Wilson's situation, along with League One duo Coventry City and Sheffield United. Coventry are in need of fresh recruits at the back after Martin Cranie decided to leave and Richard Keogh was the subject of a failed bid from Bristol City.
