Bournemouth boss Lee Bradbury is still chasing a striker after a proposed loan deal for Millwall's Josh McQuoid fell through last week.
McQuoid was poised to join the Cherries only for the former Dean Court favourite to team up with ex-boss Eddie Howe at Burnley, leaving Bradbury a little short of options up top with Charlie Sheringham's foot injury ruling him out for the rest of the season. However, the 36-year-old admitted no advanced negotiations have yet taken place with any potential targets. He told Bournemouth's official website: "I've made it clear that I want another option in the striker department. If someone comes in it doesn't mean they will go straight into the team, they will have to earn the right the same as everyone else. "We are not any further down the line at this moment in time, but we've still got enough time to make something happen if we want to. "I'm not really surprised (McQuoid joined Burnley). Eddie (Howe) knows what he's capable of and would have seen the same in Josh as I did - a young, bright, enthusiastic player who can score goals."
