Saints stopper 'coming along nicely' after incident

Southampton defender Dan Seaborne is making good progress in his recovery from the late-night assault which left him hospitalised. The 24-year-old stopper sustained serious head injuries in an incident outside a nightclub in September. Saints manager Nigel Adkins has been monitoring his rehabilitation closely and insists he is 'coming along nicely'. Adkins remains unsure when Seaborne will be available for first-team action until he gets the gets the green light from a doctor to resume training.

Recovery

"I spoke to Dan the other day and he is doing really well," Adkins told the club's official website. "He is due to go and get another review on his injury towards the end of the month, but we are speaking to him on a regular basis. "He is coming along nicely and hopefully when he has the next set of scans we will be able to see how things are healing, and then once he has been checked over by the doctor he might be able to come back into the building. "We are keeping it nice and steady with him and he is on the right road to recovery which is important."
