Mowbray moves for Sky Blues striker

Skysports.com understands Middlesbrough have made a bid for Coventry City striker Lukas Jutkiewicz. Boro boss Tony Mowbray is keen to bolster his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and has made an offer for the 22-year-old, who coincidentally scored against Boro in Saturday's draw between the two sides. The 22-year-old joined The Sky Blues last summer on a three-year contract after the club paid Everton £300,000 for his signature. Jutkiewicz netted nine goals during his debut season at the Ricoh Arena and he has bagged two goals so far this term. Burnley saw a bid rejected for Jutkiewicz earlier this summer, while Southampton were also thought to be keen on the highly-rated forward. Coventry are facing a major battle to keep hold of Jutkiewicz with Middlesbrough hoping to strike a deal to lure him to the Riverside.
