Eagles & Magpies linked with winger

Barnet star Mark Marshall is hoping the club will let him move on this summer as he wants to be playing at a higher level. Flying winger Marshall has been a revelation at Barnet since his arrival from Swindon last summer. The 24-year-old was a virtual ever-present in the Barnet side last season and he played a key role in helping the club stay in League Two. A number of clubs higher up the league pyramid are thought to be keen on luring Marshall away from Underhill and the player feels the time is right to move on. Crystal Palace are thought to be tracking Marshall, while former Bees boss Martin Allen is keen to be reunited with the wide-man at Notts County. Marshall hopes the club will not stand in his way to ply his trade in a higher league as he wants to progress his career.

Move on

"I think it is time to move on as I want to play at the highest level possible," Marshall told skysports.com. "I played over 50 games last season and enjoyed it, but I just want to play as high as I can. "The chairman knows how I feel and he promised he would let me move to play at a higher level, so I hope he is true to his word."
