Rangers boss Walter Smith has admitted he has a defensive headache on his hands ahead of the SPL clash with Inverness on Tuesday.
Defender Madjid Bougherra is suspended for the Ibrox encounter, while Sasa Papac has a groin complaint.
In further bad news, right-back Steven Whittaker is struggling with a badly bruised toe leaving Smith short as he seeks a win to keep up with the pace at the top.
The Rangers boss said: "We have a wee struggle defensively. We have doubts over Steven Whittaker and Sasa Papac for the game and Madjid Bougherra is suspended.
"Steven could not put his boot on this morning without a lot of discomfort and Sasa Papac has a groin injury.
"It's not a bad one but obviously we have to show a bit of care to make sure it doesn't get any worse.
"We also have Steven Naismith doubtful.
"So we are a little bit short, especially defensively if the two boys are out.
"Andy Webster is available and Richard Foster is there and we have Lee McCulloch who can move to the back, so we have managed to cover it but it leaves us short defensively."
