COVENTRY CITY are believed to be watching Carlisle United star Richie Foran, with Cumbrians manager Roddy Collins admitting he has had interest from two First Division clubs.

The 22-year-old Irish striker has proved a quality acquisition for Collins, with 15 goals in 44 league appearances not telling the full story.

It is rumoured that Sky Blues boss Gary McAllister has a firm interest in Foran, and believes that the striker has the potential to be a success - something that Collins (pictured) agrees with.

"There has been interest in the last two weeks from two First Division clubs and I'm not a bit surprised," said Collins.

"Richie is excellent and can do it at the highest level, I've no doubt about that.

"Hopefully we can get a few bob for him and then I can go looking for some new players, a bit of new blood."
