Brighton and Hove Albion have re-signed former winger Elliott Bennett on a month's loan from Norwich City.

The 25-year-old made exactly 100 appearances in two years with the Seagulls, helping the club win the League One title, before moving to Carrow Road in June 2011.

Bennett has agreed an initial deal until December 1 and could make his second debut for Brighton against Wigan on Tuesday night.

Albion boss Sami Hyypia told the club's official website: "Elliott brings an extra attacking dimension and will give us additional quality in the final third. He's comfortable on the ball, running at opponents and knows how to cause teams problems.

"I don't know Elliott as well as some at the club but he's a proven player at this level and I've been told he's a great character and he's the type we want on and off the pitch."
