Norwich City midfielder Jacob Butterfield is confident that he can displace Wes Hoolahan in his side's starting lineup.
Hoolahan has established himself as a key player for the Canaries this season and his impressive form has seen them collect four points from their last two Premier League matches.
However, Butterfield, who joined Chris Hughton's side from Barnsley in the summer, believes that he has the calibre to match the 30-year-old.
"He's a good player and he's got really good technical ability," he said of Hoolahan. "I've watched him and that's the level that I need to be at.
"I need to prove that I'm better than that to get a game because the gaffer is going to pick his best XI and Hoolahan is doing really well.
"I need to prove myself and that's the challenge that's out there. The Spurs match is the first step for me - I've not had the chance to show anyone what I can do. It will be a good opportunity for me against a strong team."
