Chris Hughton expressed mild disappointment at coming away with just a point after Norwich drew 1-1 with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

It looked like the Canaries would lose the match after Mousa Dembele opened the scoring with a fine debut goal, but Robert Snodgrass equalised in the 85th minute.

Hughton thinks that was the least Norwich deserved, having struck the woodwork in the first half and also forced Brad Friedel into a number of fine saves.

"We were the better team last week and were disappointed we didn't get the win, and I think it was similar today," he told Sky Sports.

"They had more possession than we did but I think we carved out some good opportunities and, on chances, I thought we edged it."

Resilient

Norwich deserved more

"We are a very resilient group of players and I was probably more delighted than anything about the fact that nobody dropped their heads after we went a goal down."

Hughton singled out Snodgrass for special praise, after the former Leeds man scored with a well-taken volley.

"It was a very good finish, and he has been super since he came to us," said Hughton.

"What he has to continue to do at this top level is score goals, and that is the challenge for him in this division."
