Groves gripe at Dons stalemate

Bournemouth manager Paul Groves expressed his frustration at his side's inability to convert in the 1-1 home draw to MK Dons.

Lewis Grabban gave the Cherries the lead after 17 minutes, and after Alan Smith was shown a straight red card two minutes later, Groves' side were in the driving seat. But Daniel Powell equalised for the Dons after 62 minutes, and the hosts were unable to force a late winner. Groves said: "The result was a disappointment - a massive opportunity missed. "Obviously the sending off makes a difference, but I thought we pinned them back in the first half and were in the ascendancy for long periods and the team more likely to score. "We peppered them at the end and had enough of the chances to have won it, but we needed the ball to fall to the right person. It didn't happen."
