Norwich City have signed former Manchester City full-back Javier Garrido on a season-long loan from Lazio, subject to international clearance.
The 27-year-old Spanish left-back has been on Chris Hughton's list of targets since his taking over at Carrow Road this summer and will become his fifth signing.
Garrido has previous experience in the Premier League, starting 39 games for City between the summers of 2007 and 2010.
Hughton, who has the option to extend the deal, told Norwich's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted to be bringing in somebody of Javier's quality.
"It gives us real competition in the squad, and for me an important factor was the fact that he has played in the Premier League before.
"He has played in La Liga, Serie A, and the Premier League, so he is a player of real experience."
