Tom Adeyemi has returned to parent club Norwich after Oldham decided not to renew his loan deal for the final four games of the season.
Adeyemi, 20, arrived at Boundary Park on loan at the end of August last year and played his final game for the Latics in Easter Monday's 3-0 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday.
The midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Bradford, was a virtual ever-present in Paul Dickov's side, making a total of 45 appearances, including 41 starts.
Adeyemi scored three goals for the Latics after making his debut in the 1-1 home draw with Huddersfield in September.
