Arsenal youngster wants to carry on playing in Europe

Arsenal youngster Ignasi Miquel is hoping to make more UEFA Champions League appearances after his European debut against Olympiakos on Tuesday. The Spanish defender replaced Andre Santos in the second-half and made an impact straight way by helping Yossi Benayoun score the Gunners' only goal of the game. Miquel is delighted that he has played his first game in the Champions League and he wants to take part in more European matches under the guidance of Arsene Wenger. "It was amazing, it was a great atmosphere," Miquel said on Arsenal's official website. "I never expected it to be like this and making my debut in the Champions League is great for me. "Unfortunately we lost but it was my next step for me. I just need to get here more often now. You could see that they went out like they had to win. "They won but unfortunately they didn't go through. They had a great game, pressed up a lot and eventually got the goals. I think we had quite a lot of chances in the second half to draw the game but that's football. "They backed up once in the game and that was when we scored, but they couldn't do it again in case they lost. They pressed up so we couldn't play our football that much and got the result."
