Hooiveld pens permanent deal
Southampton have confirmed that they have completed the signing of Jos Hooiveld on a permanent deal from Celtic.
Skysports.comexclusively revealed last month that the Saints had opened talks with Celtic.
Hooiveld joined Southampton on-loan in August, and this spell was due to expire in January.
He has impressed hugely at the heart of Nigel Adkins' back-line and had attracted interest from some Premier League clubs, but the Championship leaders have now finalised a deal worth just short of £2million.
As Hooiveld is already registered with Southampton, they have been able to finalise the Dutchman's permanent signing outside of the transfer window on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
