Southampton have signed defender Jos Hooiveld on loan from Celtic until January.
The 28-year-old Dutchman has made more than 160 appearances during his career, which has taken in spells in five different countries.
Giant centre-back Hooiveld is looking forward to life with his new club and Saints boss Nigel Adkins thinks the player will add 'something different'.
Hooiveld told Southampton's official website: "I'm really pleased.
"I feel that I've received a warm welcome and I can already see the big picture that's building here, so it is nice to be a part of it.
"It's a nice stadium and the fans are amazing as well."
Saints manager Adkins added: "Jos adds something different as he has great experience and can pass the football."
