Brighton boss Gus Poyet has lauded midfielder Elliott Bennett following his selection in the PFA team of the year.

The 22-year-old has produced a string of impressive performances in helping the Seagulls win the League One title, chipping in with six goals. Poyet told the club's official website: "I know his qualities and that's why I have so much confidence in playing Benno in different positions. "He has a great delivery and lots of pace so I know how much he can give you out wide, but I also know what he can bring to a side playing more central, that's why I like to play him behind the strikers. "He is unstoppable some days and he is the best at shooting in the club, that's why we get him into positions to shoot from distance. He's also got the best delivery and that's why he looks after all the set-pieces."
