Defender wanted Carrow Road career

Former Norwich City player Rossi Jarvis has blasted Glenn Roeder for releasing him from the Championship club. The 20-year-old was one of nine players, including fans favourite Darren Huckerby, to get the chop, but the defender feels he was never given enough time to impress. "I don't think I've had the chance since the new manager came in to be honest," he told the Norwich Evening News. "He has brought players in who are the same age as me, or younger. "It's a massive disappointment definitely. I've been at the club since I was eight-years-old and came through the ranks. I'd love to stay and play football here."

Drastic improvements

The Canaries finished three points clear of the relegation drop and Roeder now wants drastic improvements during his reign - with nine players, including Rossi, surplus to requirements. A disappointed Jarvis added: "I thought this was going to be the start of my career and I could kick on from there, but with the results going the way they did and the old manager leaving, the team changed with new people coming in - that's football I suppose. "But I don't feel like I had a fair crack of the whip under the new manager." Jarvis joined Huckerby, Ryan Jarvis, Bally Smart, Patrick Bexfield, Andrew Cave-Brown, Steven Arnold, Matthew Halliday and Juan Velasco all being released from Carrow Road.
