Norwich City have confirmed their interest in Shrewsbury Town midfielder David Edwards.
The highly-rated Welsh Under-21 international has impressed a number of teams, with the likes of Manchester United, Everton and Cardiff City all believed to have shown an interest.
Town boss Gary Peters has denied receiving any enquires for Edwards, but Norwich boss Peter Grant seems to have front his hat into the ring.
"He is somebody we have looked at," he told the Eastern Daily Press:
"He is a good young boy, he scores goals.
"We have seen him play, he has done very well and we have the Welsh connection here, with Dave Williams, who knows he is a good player as well.
"We do our homework to try and find good players and young players and he is one of the names that has come up.
"There is no doubt he is a good player - we have watched him, but that's as much as we have done."
Meanwhile, Shrewsbury have allowed youngster Steven Hogg to join Scottish outfit Gretna.
"We are going to let him go on a permanent basis but we've got 25 percent of any resale if Steve does make it and Gretna sell him on," confirmed Peters.
