Burnley full-back Kieran Trippier is a transfer target for Bournemouth, Sky sources understand.

Trippier has been an ever-present for Burnley this season, starting every Premier League game for the Clarets this term.

And following Burnley’s relegation to the Sky Bet Championship, Bournemouth now looked poised to make a move for the talented 24-year-old.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe knows Trippier well, having brought him to Burnley on loan from Manchester City during his spell in charge at Turf Moor, which ended in 2012.

Speculation also persists that Southampton will make an offer for Trippier should they lose England right-back Nathaniel Clyne this summer.

Clyne is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal at St Mary’s and has just 12 months left on his current deal.
