Carlisle have boosted their options at the back with the capture of Burnley defender Tom Anderson on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old centre-half has yet to feature for the Clarets but is match fit from a short-term spell with Lincoln in the Conference Premier. "We've watched Tom and we're pleased that we have him on board," said manager Keith Curle on the club website. "He was with the Burnley first-team squad through the summer and he has had a very good loan spell with Lincoln very recently. "This is the next challenge and we think he's the type of character who will take it with both hands."
