Newly promoted Burnley have made Wigan Athletic star James McArthur one of their top transfer targets as they look to build for life in the Premier League.
The Scottish international midfielder shone at Wigan following Uwe Rosler's appointment as manager, and played a starring role as they made the play-offs.
Wigan bowed out to Queens Park Rangers earlier this week and now the Latics face a battle to hang-on to McArthur, as a number of Premier League clubs are understood to be weighing up an offer.
McArthur, 26, has two years left on his current deal and Wigan are keen to extend this - but it remains to be seen if they can fend off the top-flight interest.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is understood to be a big fan of McArthur and sources have confirmed to Sky Sports that a bid could be imminent.
